Newcastle Plan for Children and Young PeopleThe Newcastle Plan for Children and Young People April 2006 to April 2009 is our strategy to achieve a significant change in the outcomes for children and young people in Newcastle. We need to make sure that children are better protected. We need to make sure that they are prepared to learn and have the highest standard of opportunity open to them. We have to make every child matter and so we have to make every person matter. This strategy sets out Newcastle's responsibilities and how we intend to discharge them (06 April 2006)
The following multi-agency strategies have been approved by the Newcastle Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership.
Newcastle City Council has recently introduced a policy which will help to streamline the community and stakeholder consultation that is undertaken in the City. This will help to ensure that different parts of the council and its partners work together to gather information, identify whether another similar piece of consultation has taken place and identify resources that may be able to help with the consultation. Further guidance can be found on the Community Engagement Protocols page.
