Newcastle’s Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) sets out how partners will work together over the next three years to make a difference to the life chances of children and young people in Newcastle.
The CYPP needs assessment provides an overview of what we know about different groups of children and young people in Newcastle and their outcomes, and provides an evidence base to support the development of the CYPP for 2010-2013.
The data and information contained within the framework of the needs assessment is collected from a variety of local, regional and national agencies working with children and young people as well as from children and young people through surveys and consultation events.
Where possible, data has been analysed and presented against national comparators and “similar areas”, particularly similar areas (see appendix for further description of similar areas) or core cities. Data has also been analysed spatially to produce ward-based information.
The following data tables (spreadsheets and PDFs) have been published to provide full supporting information for the CYPP needs assessment.
