Changing Trax

Changing Trax is a project that works with families where there are significant risks of children becoming looked after or their names being placed on the Child Protection Register. The work is solution focused and builds on the strengths of families to maintain children at home safely.

 

Strengthening Families programme

A second strand of the project is the Strengthening Families programme which is a structured group work programme for families at risk but not in sufficient crisis to justify the intensive intervention programme.

 

The programme work with families who may be experiencing difficulties for a number of reasons including:

 

• Poor school attendance
• Behavioural problem at home and or at school
• Involvement with Police, Probation, Youth Offending Team
• Breakdown of family relationships
• Drugs and or alcohol use
