14-19 strategic partnership

The 14-19 strategic partnership develops the strategy on 14-19 learning within the city. The partnership carries out the actions within the plan and monitor progress.

Terms of reference

The purpose of the 14-19 strategic partnership is to improve outcomes for children and young people in Newcastle. The partnership will drive 14-19 strategy and planning across the city to meet the demands of the national 14-19 reform agenda, and ensure that all young people can access the national learner entitlement.

Progress will be reported to the Children and Young People's Partnership Executive on a regular basis. All sub-groups will meet at least 6 times each year, and report back regularly on progress achieved to the partnership.

Partnership structure

The 14-19 partnership will be a commissioning partnership of the Children and Young People's Partnership Executive. It will also need to develop working relationships and links with;

  • Integrated Youth Services Transformation Board
  • Economy partnership of Newcastle Partnership
  • Locality partnerships
  • Aimhigher sub-regional structures
  • Diploma Strategy Group of Newcastle City Consortium
  • Newcastle Education Improvement Partnership (NEIP)
