The quality and suitability of all our accommodation makes a huge impact upon the services we can deliver and the extent to which services are accessible to children and young people.
Schools are at the forefront of our universal provision and the City Council, supported by government funding, is trying to bring school buildings in Newcastle up to a very good standard. All secondary schools are already being rebuilt or improved. Now we are looking at what is best for primary and nursery schools.
This is because we want our schools to be modern, well equipped and exciting places where children can learn and achieve their very best.
