Half-term family fun at Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums

Posted: 10 Feb 2010

Keep the children entertained over the holidays at Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums. They have a diverse range of activities planned this half-term to keep even the most demanding of children entertained over the holidays!

In Newcastle, visitors to the Great North Museum: Hancock can find out about the Museum’s collections in the Explore! Professor Brainstorm will be exploring the fun side of science at Discovery Museum with magical science shows and Lord Collingwood will be providing inspiration for craft activities in Ship Shape! Art never tasted so good at the Laing Art Gallery with Eat Your Own Artwork, just one of the many fun and creative ARTventure sessions planned over the half-term. If music is more your thing, the Gallery’s karaoke, inspired by the current exhibition Rebel Nation, will certainly not disappoint!

All activities are free unless otherwise stated. For further details about these events and many others visit the Tyne and Wear Museums website
