Employees urged to hop on bus for stop smoking advice

Posted: 14 Feb 2010

The local NHS is making it even easier for people to quit smoking, with the help of a bus which is travelling to local employers offering staff the opportunity to access services. Over the next few weeks many employees in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland will be able to seek help at their place of work.

Some of the workplaces the bus will be visiting over the next week include Newcastle University, Newcastle City Council, Asda in Blyth, The Quadrant in North Tyneside and the Killingworth Centre.

For further information and advice about stopping smoking contact the NHS Newcastle and North Tyneside Stop Smoking Service: 0300 123 9290, or the NHS Northumberland Stop Smoking Service: 01670 813135.
