The Commonwealth Youth Summit is taking place on 17 March 2010 in the Council Chamber.

The event, hosted by Newcastle City Council and its Partners, will see over 120 young people participating in the summit with a number of young facilitators from Commonwealth countries. As well as the main debates taking place, there will be stalls and entertainers in the banqueting suit throughout the day.

Practitioners are welcome to join at any point throughout the day or during the debates to see how things are progressing; the last debate in particular may be of interest as it will focus on local issues. The full programme is attached.
